The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed conference is an essential model for the World Conference on Earthquake Engineering. (hereafter called “WCEE”).
Submissions to the WCEE are peer-reviewed by the editor and reviewers before acceptance. Peer review assists the editor/reviewers in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.
In the first phase of abstract submission, the editor and reviewers will evaluate the topic proposed by the authors and the possible placement of the paper within the conference sessions. Once the abstract has been accepted, the author(s) must submit the article, which will be peer-reviewed. Peer-review will be conducted by ensuring compliance with the “Publication ethics and publication malpractice”.
